It’s been a long day, but just spoke with the Doctor and he is happy with everything. He did comment that “it was a nasty one” – meaning the anyerism not the surgery – that needed to be looked after immediately. So we’re glad we took the intervention route and not the ”Wait ‘n See” approach. He also said that he stress tested it by increasing blood pressure and with the 2 clips on the anyerism it did not fill.
It’s been 8 hours under anesthetic, and then the ‘mucking’ around in Judy’s head so it will be a groggy night and probably a few days after.
Tonight will be spent in Recovery with an MRI planned during the night as well – those docs like to look at their handywork!
A few days in the hospital under observation and then a final angiogram before being discharged.
The doctor too has a good sense of humour – explaining that once everything was completed and the incision was sewn up the “those wrinkles will come back to her forehead in a few months!”
Just waiting to see Judy now, it’s been a long day and will be a long evening, but all worth it.
